Shark Den

The participants are broken down into groups of 5 to 10 participants. Each Group is given a box of supplies from which they must design and build an invention. The teambuilding activity is introduced to the group along with building specs and judging criteria that they must adhere to.

The group is then given time frames for planning/design and building/testing of their invention. Once the teams have completed their invention they must then present it to the panel of judges. The judges will then implement the judging criteria to come up with a score for the design of the invention. Once the presentations are complete the group will then move into the testing phase of the evaluation where they will have to demonstrate that the invention actually works.

The group will once again be scored by the panel of judges. Once the testing phase is complete the score for both the presentation and demonstration will be combined and the Inventor Grand Champion Crowned.

Logistics – Shark Den Team Building Event:

Shark Den team building event will take 2 to 3 hours to complete and can easily be combined with other team-building activity options to create a full day event. This team building event is ideal for group sizes from 15 people up to larger conference groups of a few hundred. It is great for group that want to involve competition and creativity in their event. The team-building activity is versatile enough that it can be done in a meeting room or board room or can be done in an outdoor space weather permitting.

Agenda – Shark Den Team-Building Activity:

Introduction (15 minutes): staff and Zest is introduced to the client and initial paperwork completed
Planning/Dessign (30 Minutes): Participants are given time to brainstorm what they are going to build, how they are going to build it and develop roles and responsibilities among their team members.
Building (60 minutes): are given time to build their invention and develop their presentations for the judges.
Presentations/Demonstrations (time dependant on group size): Each participant group will be given three minutes to present their invention to the judges and 3 and 5 minutes to demonstrate their invention.
Cost: Each Zest team building event is customized to your group size
and needs, however pricing usually starts at a minimum of $3,000.
