The Amazing Chase
Delegates can be divided into teams numbering between 2 and 10. Teams depart from the start point by deciphering a number of word puzzles and receiving their first travel clue. Arriving at each race destination, teams must enter into a challenge that will require either a physical or cognitive problem to solve or sometimes both. Teams will have the opportunity to “Yield” others if they arrive at a waypoint before them. Also “Detours” and “Fast Forwards” are part of the plot as each team must strive to complete the tasks as best as possible while looking out for other teams’ traps.
Depending on the length of the team building event teams may encounter a “Pit Stop” where they will check in at a designated point (usually for a break or lunch). Teams have the opportunity to recharge before continuing the race in the timing and order they arrived at the Pit Stop.
The finale will see teams racing to be first on the mat at the finish destination.
Logistics – The Amazing Chase Team Building Event:
This teambuilding activity can range in duration from 3 hours to a couple of days depending on location and budget. This The Amazing Chase team building event is ideal for group sizes from 15 people up to larger conference groups of over 100. It can be delivered within a resort setting or spanning the boundaries of a community or city. There are many opportunities to incorporate many different local team building activities and features into the race.
Agenda – The Amazing Chase Team Building Activity:
Introduction (20 Minutes): introduction and slideshow on race rules and guidelines. Solving of the word puzzles in order to depart the start.
Travel (3 hours): Participants travel from challenge to challenge competing against each other and the clock as they continue to race from location to location along the route.
Check In (30 Minutes): Teams will race to place on the mat.
Awards: (30 Minutes): A final debrief and discussion can be facilitated just before the announcement of the winning team along with other various awards (most innovative, most team spirit).
