Are you looking for a fun team building event that will even the playing field among all of the participants? Lots of my friends working in organizations across the country come to me with the same comment about their company’s annual social event. This year we are golfing/skiing/having a pool tournament and I don’t know how/what I am going to do? Instead of this being a great afternoon or evening of getting to know co-workers on a more social level, it now becomes a source of stress or sometimes even an embarrassment, which then causes some teammates to suddenly come down with the flu.
Wouldn’t it be great if you could go to an event where skill level was not the focus and instead of worrying that you are going to be embarrassed you could just relax and have a good time with your co-workers. Imagine a team building event filled with lots of great food, good conversation and some prizes to take home at the end. Sounds like any great gathering you would have with your friends. Over the Christmas season I worked with a number of Zest clients providing just such an event in the form of our Titanium Chef event – a cooking team building program.
Participants were given the task of preparing a portion of their meal with the assistance of a chef and, through trivia questions, were able to gain extra assistance or ingredients. Although at first this may seem like a daunting task, the group soon discovers that there are roles to play for everyone even if you have never set foot in a kitchen before. Leveraging off of each other’s knowledge, it is great to see what the teams can create together.
